In The Simple Elegance Of The Federalist Era Note the clean classic lines of the building exterior inspired by the Pierce Nichols House in Salem Massachusetts, built in 1782 or the Pinigree House, built in 1802, both designed by Samuel McIntire. Then note the interior design with the furniture in distressed finish cherry adapted from American designer Duncan Phyfe. On occasions you will find a John Jay not in the architectural style of the traditional Federalist period. Should the favor of local architecture call for a unique design we attempt to set our exterior accordingly. We then alter the interior design to conform to the exterior theme.
