The vibrant colors of autumn have come and gone . . . and our thoughts have turned toward the soon-to-arrive winter season. Snow already caps the stately peaks of Mt. Washington and "the other Presidents". All signs point to an abundant snowfall this coming winter. Accordingly, the area's many Alpine and Nordic ski resorts have begun to roll out their white carpets in preparation for all our avid skiers and snowboarders. And, as always, the Mt. Washington valley is "abuzz" with a busy schedule of special events and activities to add to the excitement. Over the past quarter century the Red Jacket Mountain View has established many fine traditions. One such tradition is our complimentary sleigh rides on winter weekends and during school vacation weeks. The valley's most popular Belgian Draft Horse, Tim, and his "Cousin" provide the "horsepower". After a relaxing sleigh ride along our wooded path, you can enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and toast your own marshmallows at our bonfire. Another tradition is our Mountain Magic kids' program. Our wizard has mastered a new spell or two, and is well prepared to keep our younger guests entranced.
